中文摘要: 石墨烯作为理想的二维纳米材料,呈现诸多优异、独特的物理化学特性,而成为近年来的研究热点。单层石墨烯,尽管具有超高的电子迁移率,却由于零带隙电子结构而限制了其在高速数字电子器件领域的应用。双层、三层AB堆叠结构的石墨烯,因层与层之间的耦合产生特殊的能带结构具有可调控的带隙,在光子学和光电子学领域有着广泛的应用前景。然而受限于目前的制备技术,双层,尤其是三层石墨烯的大面积、均匀可控制备还是一个大的挑战。本项目拟采用化学气相沉积法,在多晶铜表面,通过对多层石墨烯制备机理的深入研究,调控碳原子扩散到石墨烯和铜箔之间"纳米微腔"中的浓度,找到生长双层和三层石墨烯大面积、均匀生长的窗口。另一方面,通过人为在铜箔表面形成多层AB堆叠石墨烯"种子",横向外延生长多层石墨烯,最终获得大面积层厚可控的AB堆叠石墨烯薄膜。

英文摘要: Graphene as an ideal two-dimensional nano material, has attracted widespread interest for both its novel physical and chemical properties. Owing to their distinct electronic band structures, AB-stacked bilayer and trilayer graphene have extraordinary potenitial for the next-generation photonics and optoelectronics applications. However, these promising materials require the development of new synthesis methods to effectively control the number of AB-stacked layers. In this project, we propose the synthesis of bi- and trilayer graphene through chemical vapour deposition(CVD) on Cu foil, through the control of concentration o of decomposed carbon atoms in the "nano CVD" chambers between the first layer graphene and the underneath Cu surface. On the other hand, graphene microsheets(derived from natural graphite flake) was used as "seeds" to assist the synthesis of laege area multilayer graphene, with controlled stacking.
