中文摘要： 中国企业在发达国家受到日益频繁的不公正对待表明，作为"外来者"，中国企业遭受着来自发达国家企业、产业和政府多层面的挑战。如何降低外来劣势的影响，成为中国企业面临的紧迫问题。本课题以社会网络理论为核心，结合国际商务和国际创业等理论，以加入WTO十年来中国企业在美国、德国和日本创业的外来劣势为研究对象，具体研究如下：（1）采用案例研究和资料分析，研究中国企业外来劣势的社会网络结构根源；（2）采用问卷调研和面板数据库，分析社会网络对外来劣势的多水平作用机理；（3）探索社会网络在外来劣势影响国际创业绩效上的多水平调节作用。根据上述研究，得出中国企业的网络应对策略。本课题的特色是运用社会网络理论，通过纵向和横向分析，剖析并总结10年来中国企业在发达国家创业的外来劣势。研究结果将系统提供中国企业国际创业外来劣势的社会网络观点，对提高我国企业国际创业能力，降低在发达国家创业的外来劣势具有重要意义。

英文摘要： The injustice treatment frequently coming from developed countries shows that, Chinese firms, as "strangers" to developed markets, are suffering multilevel challenges from firms, industries and governments of developed countries. How to mitigate the liabilities of foreignness (LOF) is imperative to be solved. Drawing on social network theory as well as international business theory and international entrepreneurship theory, this project focuses on the LOF of Chinese firms in three developed countries, the America，Germany and Japan, in period of ten years from China joining WTO in 2001, and includes below three studies: (1) Social network analysis on LOF of Chinese firms' entrepreneurship in developed countries by case study and qualitative analysis; (2) The multilevel analysis on the impact of social network on LOF based on survey data and panel data; (3) The study on social network as mediator between LOF and international entrepreneurial performance. Based on the results, network strategies for Chinese firms to mitigate LOF will be proposed. The feature of this project is, by longitudinal and cross-sectional analysis, to explore the essence of LOF in ten-year period in perspective of social network theory.
