中文摘要: 随着我国珊瑚礁海域海洋资源开发利用和工程建设力度的日益加大,由珊瑚礁沉积物引发的工程地质问题急剧增多。本项目从我国南海典型珊瑚礁工程地质特征出发,综合利用现场调研、原位测试、模型试验和理论分析等技术手段,以沉积物源为基础,结合水动力环境特点,提出工程应用角度的珊瑚礁分类方法;结合地形地貌特征、地质构造特点、沉积演化模式等因素,从物理、化学、生物等不同造礁过程角度,揭示珊瑚礁沉积物本源性质及其形成规律;以珊瑚礁沉积物的成分、组构及其表征的物理-力学性质为主要判据,寻求珊瑚礁工程性能分带性依据,对不同相带珊瑚礁工程力学效应加以研判,提出考虑颗粒破碎的珊瑚礁工程地质评价方法、基础选型及地基处治方案,最终为珊瑚礁工程勘察、地基处理、设计指南的制定提供技术资料支撑。项目实施对于我国南海国防、海洋资源开发战略以及珊瑚礁工程地质研究具有重要的科学意义和工程应用价值。

英文摘要: With a rapid increase in demand for ocean resources in tropical seas, engineering geology related problems in coral reef sediments have soared due to recent global development activity. The following objectives of this proposed research project include: 1) Propose a new coral reef zoning and classification system based on potential engineering applications. This task will focus on the engineering geology properties of several typical types of coral reefs formed under different hydrodynamic and oceanic environments. These calcareous sediments will be investigated by a combination of theoretical analysis, site reconnaissance, in-situ and laboratory testing, and carbon dating technology; 2)The intrinsic and evolution mechanism of coral reef sediments will be studied through physical, chemical and biological aspects of the reef forming process. The effect of geomorphologic features, tectonic characteristics and depositional evolution of calcareous sediments on the engineering properties will also be considered. 3) Provide the methods of engineering geology evaluation considering particle breakage, project foundation selection, and foundation treatment in coral reefs in South China Sea. These methods can be used to provide preliminary guidelines for engineering design and construction. Based on the structure of coral reef sediments and their physical and mechanical properties, the engineering effects of the coral reef in different zoning areas will be provided. The defensive strategies in the South China Sea, marine resources exploitation, and the scientific understanding of coral reef engineering geology aspects, all can greatly benefit from the implementation of the proposed research results.
